The end of the week has arrived and all I can think is where has the time gone? Amazing. I’m getting surveys back from people all around the world and from old friends. Its as if this amazing chain has formed where we are all linked by one passion - a love of writing. While I make it sound as though I have a vast amount of surveys that is not quite true. I think I’ve got 15 but I have emails from people intending to fill it in and from others suggesting I talk to friends of theirs. I also have a sense of people’s real excitement about the project and the possibilities we will be offering.

Another busy day. Still building my LinkdIn network and sending out surveys. Sabrina taught me how to set up a survey using google docs. They have forms that prompt you so you can fill in each question then set how you want them to answer…ie multiple choice or to write their answer. Once completed you email it to all the people you hope will fill it in. It’s come a bit late because I’ve already sent out modified versions and received replies. However, I sent them out to those who haven’t yet done the survey so will be interested to see how the responses go.

I have just got home from my weekly (te wiki) te reo class (I tënei po) this night and so this blog will be short.

As I write this I have the waiata song playing in the back of my mind called Paikea. It’s the waiata that is sung during the movie Whale Rider and is from the East Coast about the God Paikea and the whale Paikea. I love it. It is very beautiful or te ätaahua.

Anyway enough of that.

Just couldn’t get time to do my blog yesterday. I’m developing an amazing international network using LinkdIn’s Creative Designers and Writers group. The Manager of the group called for every member to introduce themselves and its amazing. I’ve connected with a lot of writers – Spain, France, etc and several now have my email version of my survey. I’ve got one back filled in already. I’m also really impressed by the calibre of people making contact…University Directors and other senior people in companies along with students. It’s amazingly exciting.

Well it’s the weekend, Sunday even and if I don’t do this post I’ll be writing a novel tomorrow….not that I’m not capable of that…the question is whether anyone could be bothered reading!

So why am I posting progress on my business concept at a time when most people are doing recreation time-out things? Sensible stuff. I did get in a couple of hours of Tai Chi yesterday so its not all work and no play.

Just a quick one today.

I’ve been analysing writing for our on line automated tool. As this takes shape I get very excited. The tool will be quite simple to start with but we will keep working on it and increase its capabilities over time. I think writers will find it very helpful.

Meeting with Emma

14th March 2011-03-24

This was a fantastic meeting. There were no rooms available here to meet in so we went over to the café and had a coffee. This made the meeting less formal and that setting helped us to relax and talk about the project and the progress I had made to date.
