After regaining control of his vehicle, he came to a screaching halt. He quickly jumped out of the car and began searching for the flashlight in the back seat. "Where the hell is it!" he shouted, as he rifled through the numerous toolboxes he kept in the backseat. "Dam animals, I knew I should have taken the interstate!" he scolded himself for being so dammed confident in his decisions.

He quickly grabbed the flashlight and began inspecting his vehicle for damage. As the fourways on his car illuminated the woods surrounding him, he spotted the doe darting through the bare branches of scrubs that blanketed the woods. It was not usual for a buck to be nearby his females. As he slowly scanned the darkness looking for any indication of the rest of the herd, there off in the distance, no more than 50 feet away, off of the roadside, he spotted them. Their reflective eyes shown brightly, as the flashlight gave their position away.
