Writer, editor, blogger, mother, girlfriend, daughter, sister, Buddhist, Springsteen fan, lover of Labradors, and crazy cat chick, I drink a lot of coffee and champagne, eat a lot of chocolate, read a lot of books and listen to a lot of Springsteen. I have tattoos, dance in my car, and will happily jump in puddles if the mood moves me. Oh and yeah - my hair is pink. I hate mornings (bad time to call me), cooking (the doing of, the thinking about, or the writing about), and cruelty. Not fond of broad beans either.
I write and speak about writing, women in business and from time to time some more esoteric things like spirituality, Bruce Springsteen, Buddhism, and cats. A lot of this can be found on my blog Angelique Jurd: Writer. I review books, music and film over on Just Heard, Read, Seen.
I write fiction - some of it dark, some of it light, some of sad, some of it erotic. Some of it has even been published.
I specialise in editing independent fiction, in particular erotic fiction for women.
I have held several editorial roles with a range of different publications and written for several well known New Zealand publications, including Straight Furrow, Her Business, Business to Business and IT Brief.
